Candle Care
How long should I burn my candle?
Let your candle burn for at least an hour. This will allow the wax to melt all the way to the edge of the tin/jar.
However, avoid burning for more than 4 hours to prevent the wax from overheating, and help extend the life of your candle.
How do I avoid my candle from "tunneling"?
Allow enough time for your candle to melt completely towards the edges of the container to avoid "tunneling".
Why is there a black residue on my candle?
Black residue may appear on the candle if the wick is not trimmed. It can be easily removed with a paper towel.
Ensure to trim the wick to 1/8 inch before each burn or pinch off the burnt bits with your fingers to keep the wax clean and burning nicely.
How do I make my candles last longer?
Here are 5 tips to make your candles last longer:
- Don’t burn a new candle for only a few minutes. Allow enough time for your candle to melt completely towards the edges of the container.
- Keep the wood wick trimmed or pinch off the burnt bits with your fingers before using.
- Store your candles in a cool and dry place.
- Keep the wax pool clear of any debris.
- Let a candle completely cool before lighting again.
